Hagerty’s 2nd annual glow-in-the-dark pep rally was a success! This year, 4SchoolsOnly brought in another platinum artist: New Cupid of the Cupid Shuffle! Cupid brought in a very interactive show and taught HHS some new dances. The entire gym was glowing with the power of our massive black light rig and our lasers kicked it up another notch. Winter Haven’s Chorus on Location is a themed concert where each song has a theme behind it, which has a video loop in the background to help carry the theme. 4SO President and lighting designer, Arnoldo Offermann, added a third dimension by synchronizing the lights with the video and show. Since we didn’t get a chance to be there for rehearsals, Arnoldo got the list of songs and video loops the day of and had the morning and afternoon before the concert to create each light scene and add in the video cues. As we didn’t know the video loops ahead of time (no one’s fault, just how it panned out) we used the stock GOBOS in the moving head, but it turned out amazing. Check out the photos and video below. The Husky Rumble was the first of its kinda in Central Florida and certainly something new for Hagerty. This nighttime pep rally featured nothing but black lights and lasers. As students walked in, their shirts were instantly aglow! We gave Hagerty High over 1500 glow sticks to pass out and within seconds, the gym was lit up! Rather than the traditional pep rally, with a few breaks in between, this one had ZERO time to breathe as we went from one hyped up event to another. Trust me- you had to be there! If THAT wasn’t enough, DJCraziAce brought in the multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated group The 69 Boyz.
