Man oh man, 4SO went all out for Oviedo’s 2017 Prom! We set up the day prior at Loew’s Sapphire Falls resort (afterwards which DJCraziAce hauled butt to the other side of the state for Countryside’s prom.) Here’s a bit of what we did: LOTS of bass Video-mapped pipe and drape Lighting all over the dance floor and dining area Thematic wall projections: swirls, teacups UV and sparkle lighting out in the lobby UV and LED lighting in the entrance tunnels The Queen of Hearts Throne TWO photobooths …and a lot more! University’s gym is something special: it’s spacious with a balcony that was begging to be included in the setup. This year, UHS asked 4SO to come in and do something extraordinary to their homecoming! First off, the balcony- we just had to set up there. By having DJCraziAce up there along with all the lighting, the gym looked, felt, and sounded like a nightclub. Areal lasers, crowd-scanning laser effects, massive floods, and downlighting on the red and white pipe and drape (with the Cheshire cat animated projection) really brought the Alice in Wonderland theme to life… but not as much as it did outside! In the courtyard, students went all out in decorating and re-creating famous scenes from the book/movie to really set the tone. This year, instead of video games being played outside, UHS had a 2nd DJ (DJ D-Whattzz) to keep things fresh. This was the first time the Orlando-area school had two DJs. Bayshore had a one-of-a-kind setup for their homecoming! Their Alice in Wonderland theme centered around the rabbit hole- and we created such with our circular truss + screen. The screen also had live text-to-screen options as well as photos that students submitted! The back of the gym was covered in pipe and drape and our lightshow was the biggest ever done in Manatee County school. Students loved DJCraziAce’s mixing, the lighting, and our Snap Yourself Silly! When Winter Park said they wanted to transform prom into Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, we knew exactly what to do. On the sides, we had tea cups projected on the walls plus spinning patterns that would surely make you mad if you stared at them too long. On the main stage we had a great light show, plus the Cheshire Cat making a surprise appearance on the pipe and drape behind DJCraziAce.
